The Rameshwar Gujadhur Poste Lafayette Training centre
The centre was established in the mid 1990’s by Subiraj Gujadhur with the view of training some of the island’s finest racehorses. Throughout those years, several Mauritian Classic winners had their preparation on this East Coast facility which is a stone’s throw away from the beautiful beach.
Early 2011, a proposal from Hobday Equestrian Enterprise (HEE) meant that the facility was then upgraded to meet all EU Regulations for the export of horses to Europe from Mauritius. Since then, Subiraj Gujadhur has constantly tried to improve the facilites in order to cater for all of the requirements of the clients. As at December 2014, the RG Poste Lafayette Training & Quarantine Centre has been home to approximately 350 horses who have gone on to become stars by competing on the International stage.
